Thanks a lot!! IT WORKS!! I have HP Jornada 420 (using it as e-book reader :) ) and I study C# and C++ for some time. It was my dream to write my own applications for it!

I've found a few more so far on sourceforge.net that also work on all my CE 2.xx devices: VNCViewer, PocketTest, and PocketToastTimer.

I am using a mips R4000 processor on a Casio BE-300 running a hack system called BeShell Version 3.0 , basically a combination that allows running CE 2.X, HPC, PPC 2000, and a number of other software with a few registry tweaks. Since my post over a month ago, I have been able to run programs more effectively after moving file locations around and what not. So, my problem seems to have resolved itself, although it does raise its ugly head every once and a while.

That would be hard to debug since we don't have the source code. On what processor and platform are you getting this error?

I select Details and :
PocketPDF.exe.net
Exception (followed by the above posted message)

It does not always happen, but 9/10 I am now getting this message. The only exception is the hello world app which always loads fine.

What is the actual text of the error?
It looks like the error is related to your ToolBar control.

Has anyone seen an error like this when trying to run programs:
MISC::HandleAr+0x5b
Control::_InitInstance+0x8a

ToolBar::.ctor+ox8

frmMain::Main+0x5
The hello world app is the only one that works for me now. Weird.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to edit the article on .NET CF in Wikipedia to reference the port of .NET CF 1.0 SP3 to CE 2.xx (and maybe the possible project to port .NET CF 2.0 to CE 2.xx/3.0):

Version 2.11 works on my Casio BE-300. Amazing!!! Is there still a push to do .NET CF 2.0?

installs on hpw600eut hitachi eplate sh4 win ce 2.11
and example hello world runs without problem
no other aplications tried.

Actually there is an existing build of .NET CF 1.0 for SH4 that I have adapted for CE 2.11. Thanks for trying it out. Now I know it works!

All the above working applications are also working on my recently-acquired Compaq Aero 8000 using the SH4 version of .NET CF 1.0 SP3. One other application is working too - AndyRenamer.

Great work getting an SH4 version compiled, dstefanov!
